Luxury Fences is a series of architectural embellishments where I aimed to bring the allure of jewelry into the interior space.
Made from brass, these textile-like structures exhibit a surprising lightness and fluidity, creating dynamic visual interference through distorted patterns and movement.
This project was first developed for the HARDCORE exhibition during Dutch Design Week 2017.
From Personal Adornment to Architectural Embellishment
Luxury Fences explores the dual role of balancing ornament and function in design. The fundamental question guiding the project was how refined materials could elevate large environments with the same grace, care, and elegance found in personal adornment.
Luxury Fences are crafted entirely from brass, yet they achieve a striking lightness and fluidity. They behave delicately within the space, where movement and subtle environmental shifts enhance the visual experience.
